DRIVE MEDICAL PAEDIATRIC ANTERIOR SAFETY ROLLER

The Paediatric Anterior Safety Roller builds confidence in children as they encourage safe ambulation and a sense of freedom. The Safety Roller’s adjustments and compatible modular components provide substantial built-in growth. This in conjunction with its sturdy and functional design, allow for many years of use.

Features:

  • Applying pressure to the handlebar activates the braking mechanism. When the brake is engaged, the brake stopper hits the wheel and the wheels cannot roll
  • Ideal for users with limited hand function and/or limited cognition. The Safety Roller halts in step with the user, the braking mechanism automatically engages when the user stumbles
  • Height adjustable in 1″ increments
  • Adjustable brake spring tension
  • User is situated in the centre of the Safety Roller, which provides maximum support and improved posture
  • Skid resistant, non-marring, easy rolling neoprene wheels. Ideal for indoor and outdoor use
  • Folds easily and stands on its own in the folded position

DRIVE MEDICAL ADULT POSTERIOR SAFETY ROLLER

Posterior Safety Rollers are an alternative for adults who have difficulty using an anterior walker, due to their tendency to lean forward, apply excessive weight to arms, push walker forward too quickly and therefore, cannot control its speed. Posterior Safety Rollers encourage ambulation in an upright position and lowers trunk, hip and knee angle flexions.

  • Welded steel frame
  • Height adjustable in 1″ increments
  • One directional rear wheel, which can be disengaged to allow full forward and reverse mobility
  • Patient is situated in the centre of the Safety Roller, which provides maximum support and improved posture
  • Skid resistant, non-marring, easy rolling neoprene wheels. Ideal for indoor and outdoor use.
  • Folds easily and stands on its own in the folded position

SAFETY ROLLER OPTIONS

DIAL-A-SPEED TABS – Provide variable resistance on one or both rear wheels. This serves as a partial brake and allows the user to control the speed of the walker. Each side is independently adjusted to allow for asymmetry in gait pattern

FOREARM PLATFORMS – Allow user to put weight through forearm while walking
