Seating & Transport – Manual Wheelchairs & Cushions

It is widely known that pressure mapping and imaging systems are an effective tool in the prevention and management of pressure related wounds and skin breakdown, but, few understand that the benefits of pressure mapping reach far beyond simply visualizing pressure under the client’s contact area.

The full-function PS256 Pressure Mapping & Imaging System contains 256 sensors, providing data to perform all forms of clinical intervention, seating assessments and troubleshooting. Each PS 256 pressure mapping and imaging systems comes complete with an instructional DVD & full colour manual.

Applications and uses:

  • Gauge pressure under the client’s contact areas
  • Measure anatomical landmarks
  • Troubleshoot seating concerns easily and quickly
  • Freeze, save and print any and all images, and record up to 10 minutes of data
  • Record up to 10 minutes of video
  • Examine peak pressures
  • Create custom seating design
  • Locate the client’s center of gravity
  • Evaluate drive wheel placement
  • Track center of force
  • Ensure proper inflation of air cushions
  • Eliminate the guessing game associated with the use of air cushions
  • Gain approval for equipment through improved documentation
