Walking Aids
Kaye Suspension Walkers
• The Suspension Walker with harness
supports the user in a "full weight-bearing"
or a “partial weight-bearing” position to
facilitate walking training on normal ground
or on a treadmill.
• Uses a manually operated winch to lift and
lower the user, and
to vary the amount of
weight-bearing on the feet when walking.
So it can also be used as a dynamic
standing frame.
• The suspension frame is width and height
adjustable so it can be used in different
training environments. The frame is
foldable for transport.
• Includes swivel casters with directional
locks, to allow for use as a walker on open,
level ground.
• Includes stationary brakes, to facilitate use
over a treadmill.
• For use with a treadmill the
Treadmill
Width Adapter
is available.
• Four harness sizes are available and are
sold separately. (see page W-13)

both arms and hands for doing activities.
Suspension Walker helps users
who are capable of partial weight
bearing to walk independently.

Kaye Walker Suspension
Conversion Kits
• The Conversion Kit attaches to a Kaye
Posture Control Walker and allows it to
function as a “partial weight bearing” or
suspension walker.
• The walkers can fold with the suspension
kits attached.
• The narrower width of these units allows
greater manoeuvrability indoors, but prevents
the units fromfitting over treadmills. For units
that fit over treadmills, use the Treadmill
Width Adapter. See page W-13.
• These conversion kits are suitable for users
who do not have to be lifted into the unit and if
weight-bearing does not have to be adjusted
when walking. For heavier users who must
be lifted into the unit, or if weight-bearing
needs to be adjusted when walking, it would
be better to use the Suspension Walkers
WKSW1 or WKSW7.
• Available in 4 sizes, for toddlers through
to smaller adults.
• Four harness sizes are available.
